About UMLAB Sarawak
A Kuching-based civil engineering materials testing laboratory, backed by the UMLAB group's Malaysian highway project track record.
Who we are
UMLAB Laboratory & Services (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd. (Co. Reg. No. 202401009643 / 1555493-H) is the Sarawak arm of the UMLAB Laboratory & Services group, established to bring the group's civil engineering materials testing capability to Sarawak's infrastructure sector — directly from our Kuching HQ, without a subcontracted intermediary.
We test asphalt, concrete, aggregate, soil, and steel to the standards required for road, bridge, and building works across Sarawak, covering everything from routine compliance testing to site-based geotechnical and pavement investigation.
Part of a group with a track record
Our parent company, UMLAB Laboratory & Services Sdn Bhd (Skudai, Johor), has operated as an independent civil engineering testing laboratory since 2020, with a track record spanning 15+ major Malaysian highway projects, including the Senai Desaru Expressway, KESAS, LEKAS, SKVE, and the SILK Highway. UMLAB Sarawak applies that same testing methodology and quality discipline to projects here.
