By accessing or using this website (www.umlabsarawak.com), operated by UMLAB Laboratory & Services (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd. (Co. Reg. No. 202401009643 / 1555493-H), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.

2. Use of this website

You may use this website to learn about our testing services, read our Technical Journal, and submit a Request for Quotation. You agree not to misuse the website — for example, by attempting to interfere with its normal operation, submitting fraudulent or malicious form submissions, or accessing it by automated means in a way that places undue load on it.

3. Website content, and the Technical Journal

The content on this website, including text, the UMLAB Sarawak logo, and page design, belongs to UMLAB Laboratory & Services (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd. or is used with permission, and may not be reproduced without our consent, except for ordinary personal or internal business reference.

Our Technical Journal articles are provided for general informational purposes about civil engineering testing methods and standards. They do not constitute engineering, design, or professional advice for any specific project, and should not be relied on as a substitute for a qualified engineer's assessment of your particular site or works. Where we identify that an article requires correction (for example, a test-method figure under review), we aim to update it, but we do not guarantee that Journal content is complete, current, or error-free at any given time.

4. Testing services and commercial engagements

These website Terms of Service do not govern the commercial terms of an actual materials testing engagement. When you submit a Request for Quotation, the specific Terms & Conditions shown and accepted within that form — covering matters such as sample provision, booking notice, report timelines and retention, payment terms, and mobilisation charges — apply to that engagement. Please read those terms at the time you submit a request.

5. Test reports

Final test reports are endorsed by a Professional Engineer (PEPC).

6. No warranty; limitation of liability

This website and its content are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by applicable Malaysian law, UMLAB Sarawak is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Malaysian law.

7. Third-party links and services

This website links to or uses third-party services, including Google Forms/Sheets (for our Request for Quotation form) and Google Fonts. Your use of those third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the website after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
